Mechanical Engineering Technician

> Occasional travel in Eastern Canada Join this Industry Leader as an Application Engineering Technician. As part of the engineering team you will provide technical support for motors, gearmotors, motor controllers and large industrial gear reducers. You will perform sizing, selections, trouble shooting as well as on-site start-up assistance.

Main tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Provide technical support for gear reducers, motors, gearmotors, motor controllers and their accessories both from the office and at the customer site

- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting over the phone

- Calculate application data and size up gear reducers, motors, gearmotors, and accessories according to application requirements

- Prepare mechanical drawings and sketches using AutoCAD or Solid Works

- Prepare customer quotations and scope of work

- Assist the Sales Representatives on sales calls (e.g. product presentation, Other tasks will include:

- Provide on-site commissioning assistance

- Other duties as situation warrants

Educational requirements:

Technical diploma in mechanical engineering technology (or equivalent).

Preference and profile of successful candidate:

You have excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD and Solid Works You have good aptitudes and interests for mechanical and electrical engineering concepts.

You have an excellent command of the French and English languages (written and spoken).
